Improve Your Search: Health Literature Search Tactics Online
You have questions, our databases have answers, but how do you write an effective search query? A search that finds just what you’re looking for? A search that gets neither too many results nor too few?
Learn the Art of Finding Stuff in this search tactics workshop. By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Turn research questions into search queries using PICO and other formats
- Narrow or expand searches using operators like AND + OR, quotation marks, and truncation
- Improve search relevance with limiters/filters
- Describe essential features in PubMed@Duquesne and CINAHL
Although this webinar will focus on health sciences databases, the methods addressed will work in virtually any database. Join via Zoom for 20 minutes of instruction and 10 minutes of Q&A.
