Open Access Publishing: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Open Access Publishing: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly Online

Open access publishing can expand the impact and reach of your research (the Good). But author fees can be cost prohibitive (the Bad), and predatory journals can compromise the visibility and credibility of your work (the Ugly).

This session will break down the key advantages and challenges of different open access models, both free and fee-based. We’ll also highlight Gumberg Library’s publisher agreements that cover open access fees and show you how to locate and use these opportunities.

We encourage you to attend the live session, however, if you cannot join live please register anyway and we'll send the slides and recording afterwards.
