Max Vanka's Ghost and other ghostly tales
Duquesne Univeristy Archivist and folklore expert Tom White will tell the story of famed Croatian artist Maxo Vanka who came face-to-face with the phantom that haunts St. Nicholas Catholic Church as he painted his murals for the parish.
This event is paired with the Gift to America 2 exhibit of contemporary works inspired by Vanka's murals on display at Gumberg Library. Works on display:
