DESCRIPTION:Illness is an inescapable part of the human experience\, 
 shaping how we live and think. To explore this\, Duquesne University's 
 Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center welcomes Havi Carel\, PhD\, of the 
 University of Bristol\, author of Illness: The Cry of the Flesh and 
 Phenomenology of Illness. Dr. Carel’s insights will deepen our 
 understanding of how illness challenges our experience of the world and 
 transforms our philosophical view of being.\n\nThis event is free and open 
 to Duquesne students\, faculty\, and staff\, as well as professionals in 
 philosophy\, medicine\, nursing\, psychology\, theology and more. The
